DAY 16 :

 

Breakfast: Appelstroop

Appelstroop is a sweet, thick syrup made from apples. People in the Netherlands like to eat it on bread or toast. It tastes sweet and a little bit sour—perfect for breakfast!

Lunch: Broodje Kroket

A Broodje Kroket is a sandwich with a crispy croquette inside. The croquette is filled with soft meat and tastes delicious. Many people eat it with mustard. It’s warm and easy to eat!

Snack: Kruidnoten

Kruidnoten are small, crunchy cookies. They taste like cinnamon and other warm spices. Dutch people eat them during the Sinterklaas holiday, but they are good any time of the year!

Dinner: Pasta Bolognese with Oud Geraspte Kaas

This is pasta with a meat and tomato sauce. On top, you add oud geraspt, a strong and tasty Dutch cheese. It’s a mix of Italian and Dutch food—very yummy for dinner!

 

DAY 17 :

 

Breakfast: Appelstroop met Kaas

Appelstroop with cheese is a creative Dutch breakfast. The sweet apple syrup and the salty cheese make a tasty combination. Eat it on bread or toast—it’s simple and delicious!

Lunch: Kaasbroodje

A Kaasbroodje is a bread roll with cheese inside. The cheese is soft and creamy, and the bread is fresh. It’s a quick and easy lunch, loved by many in the Netherlands.

Snack: Kip Kerrie

Kip Kerrie is chicken dish with a curry flavor. It is often made into a salad for bread or crackers. It’s spicy, creamy, and very tasty for a quick snack.

Dinner: Dutch Buffet at @RestaurantTafelen

A Dutch buffet is a meal with many different dishes to choose from. At @RestaurantTafelen, you can try different traditional Dutch foods and a lot more! There’s something for everyone, and you can eat as much as you like!

 

DAY 18 :

 

Breakfast: Brood met Schuddebuikjes

Schuddebuikjes are small, sweet pieces of spiced cookies. In the Netherlands, people eat them on bread with butter. It’s a crunchy and fun way to start the day!

Lunch: Kaas Tosti

A Kaas Tosti is a grilled cheese sandwich. It’s made with bread and melted cheese. It’s warm, crispy, and very tasty for lunch.

Snack: Kaassoufflé

A Kaassoufflé is a crispy snack filled with hot, melted cheese. It’s fried and often eaten as a quick snack. Cheese lovers will enjoy it!

Dinner: Boerenkool Stamppot

Boerenkool Stamppot is a traditional Dutch dinner. It’s made with mashed potatoes and kale, and it’s served with a sausage. It’s warm and filling—a perfect meal for cold evenings.

 

DAY 19 :

 

Breakfast: Brood met Speculaas

Speculaas is a spiced cookie with flavors like cinnamon and nutmeg. In the Netherlands, people sometimes eat it on bread with butter. It’s sweet and delicious for breakfast!

Lunch: Stamppot Kliekjes

Stamppot Kliekjes means leftover stamppot. Stamppot is a mashed potato dish mixed with vegetables. Eating the leftovers for lunch is easy and still very tasty.

Snack: Kroket

A Kroket is a crispy snack filled with soft, creamy meat. It’s fried and warm, and many people enjoy it with mustard. It’s perfect for a quick bite.

Drink: Dutch Beer Texel

Texel Beer is a famous Dutch beer made on the island of Texel. It has a fresh and rich taste, perfect to enjoy with dinner or as a treat.

 

 

DAY 20 :

 

Breakfast: Kiosk Cappuccino and Dutch Croissant

Be Dutch and start the day with a cappuccino and a 'Dutch' croissant from a kiosk before you travel. The croissant is light and buttery—a simple and tasty breakfast with a warm drink to wake you up.

Lunch: HEMA Broodje Worst

A Broodje Worst from HEMA is a bread roll with sausage. The sausage is juicy and full of flavor. It’s a popular and easy lunch in the Netherlands.

Snack: Haring Drop

Haring Drop is a type of Dutch licorice shaped like fish. It has a strong, salty flavor, loved by many Dutch people. It’s a unique and fun snack to try.

Dinner: Sitostick

A Sitostick is a deep-fried snack made of cheese, ham, and breadcrumbs, served on a stick. It’s crispy, cheesy, and perfect for a quick dinner or treat.

 

DAY 21 :

 

Breakfast: Appelflap

An Appelflap is a sweet pastry filled with apples and cinnamon. It’s crispy on the outside and soft inside, making it a delicious way to start the day.

Lunch: Broodje Filet Americain

A Broodje Filet Americain is a bread roll with a spread made of raw beef, spices, and mayonnaise. It’s soft, creamy, and a popular choice for lunch in the Netherlands.

Snack: Tompouce Popcorn

Tompouce Popcorn is popcorn with the sweet taste of a tompouce, a famous Dutch pastry. It’s crunchy and sweet, perfect for an afternoon snack.

Dinner: Zuurkool Stamppot

Zuurkool Stamppot is a traditional Dutch dish made of mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. It’s often served with sausage and is a warm, hearty dinner.

 

DAY 22 :

 

Breakfast: Brood met Melk Vlokken

Start your day with some bread with vlokken. Vlokken are chocolate flakes that Dutch people like to sprinkle on bread. It’s a sweet and easy breakfast!

Lunch: Saucijsbroodje

A Saucijsbroodje is a bread roll filled with sausage meat. The bread is soft, and the filling is warm and tasty. It’s a popular and quick lunch.

Snack: Bami

Bami is a noodle dish with vegetables and spices. In the Netherlands, it’s often served as a snack in a fried block. It’s flavorful and perfect for a quick bite.

Dinner: Hachee met Rode Kool

Hachee is a Dutch stew made with beef, onions, and spices. It’s served with rode kool (red cabbage), which is sweet and tangy. This is a warm and comforting dinner.
