NAP Amsterdam ⚓

Located in Amsterdam Ijburg, at Krijn Taconiskade 124, this lovely restaurant proposes some of the most delicious food in a wonderful environment. Only 15 minutes from Amsterdam Centraal Station by tramway, you can enjoy a nice morning coffee, fast lunch or relaxing dinner with the view on a little harbour. In this article I want to introduce and show you one of my favourite hotspots in the Netherlands.

Fully at the sun during sunny days, the terrace will give you a lovely holiday or week-end feeling. While sitting on the terrace outside you can enjoy the view of the boats cruising through the harbour of Ijburg. On the inside of the restaurant it’s perfect to enjoy a nice moment in a very clean and modern interior with a marine touch. I really recommend! They serve all kind of drinks and food that you can enjoy at any moment of the day. Maybe something what might be funny to know is that the name NAP comes from the ”Normaal Amsterdams Peil”-Tool which measures the water levels. Zero equals the Noordzee level !

I will share some of the delicious and pretty food they served, made with love and passion. I started my tasting with a nice Tripel special beer from Amsterdam with 5 toasts of the ”crostini mix”. My favourite one was the one with the falafel. After this I tried one of the best carrot soup I ever had! I continued my tasting with a warm eggplant with mozzarella tomatoes called ”Melanzane Patmogiana”! Followed up by a Thai chicken cocos soup named ”Tom Kha Kai”. If you like fish, I recommend you to try the tuna carpaccio!

Everything was absolutely delicious and I must say I had a little crush on the desert ! You can try their homemade cheesecake with passionfruit dressing, a fresh crème brulée and an amazing chocolat fondant with a scoop of ice-cream ! Also I recommend you to try the cappuccino… super lekker !

Looking forward to share, taste and explore more in The Netherlands for you !
